Christmas House Hopping 12/20th & Christmas Day!

Our Traditional House Hopping took place on Dec. 20th this year. This is about the 4th year we have done this, and it is sooo much fun. The whole day is spent together, usually we start with breakfast, but this year we started with Brunch. Tim and Lisa hosted brunch, which was absolutely delish! They served Omelettes, potatoes, sausage, and sweet rolls. Of course we had all sorts of spiked breakfast drinks, It was all just yummy! I wish I had taken a picture of the table Lisa, it was so beautiful! What a great way to start the day, just great! Doing this we get to see everyones tree and decorations, we all bring a new ornament for eachothers tree and they give out their gifts. Then off to our house for dinner! Since Jason and Jayde were going to be in Trinidad this year they didn't get a tree. Instead, they served appetizers before our dinner that were to die for. Stuffed shrimp w/chopped basil, garlic and parmesan cheese, wrapped in bacon, brushed w/bbq sauce and baked, yummo! We hosted Dinner this year, but I got off pretty easy. Since it was such a hard year for everyone, we thought some comfort food would be just the thing. Michael agreed to make his famous meatloaf, mashers, gravy and green beans, which all the kids love. So he was the star of the show! And did an absolutely awesome job. I think everyone enjoyed themselves, needless to say very full. We gave our gifts and received some beautiful new ornaments. Thank you kids, pretty soon we'll need two trees. Last, but certainly not least, off to Donny and Julie's for some scrumptious desserts. Everything looked so Yummy. Julie made assorted cookies, banana cream pie, and her famous rum cake that her gramma used to make. It all looked sooo good, but my favorite, and of course Dad's is the rum cake. That was all I had room for, the best! They did their gifts and received new ornaments too! They had a surprise for us, but we ran out of time, to end the night with a carriage ride down by the Mission Inn. We were sad that it got so late, maybe next year we can change a few things and make it work. Thank you Julie and Donny everything was beautiful, as Dad would say, "You had the angels dancing on our tongues." Christmas morning was at Lisa and Tim's to watch the kids with their Santa gifts, and enjoy Julie's traditional Ebleskeivers, she is a pro at them now. Then to Aunty Rose and Uncle Dennis's for Christmas Day Dinner! They did an awesome job, everyone had a wonderful day, and it was all so beautiful! Thank you guys for making Christmas this year so very special. Merry Christmas everyone, til next year! Happy New Year! Love you all very much!
